Adam Virgo won three promotions with Albion.

Former Albion defender Adam Virgo is the latest guest on the official Brighton & Hove Albion podcast.

The 41-year-old Brighton boy won three promotions in two spells with the club during the Withdean era, rejoining Albion in 2008 when podcast co-host Glenn Murray was one of his teammates.

Adam talks candidly to Glenn and Paul Hayward about his big move to Celtic in 2005, which came while he was trying to deal with a family tragedy, and the breakdown in his relationship with manager Gordon Strachan, when he was thrown into the cauldron of an Old Firm derby for his debut and played in four different positions in his first five games!

Adam reminisces about the great characters he played with at Albion and the impact they made to help put the club on its current trajectory.

“The players who wore the shirt at that time have made a contribution to what’s happening now,” he said.

These days Adam is a familiar face on our screens as a summariser on TNT Sports’ football coverage, but he also reveals his role helping older school children make the right decisions for their futures.
