England play their final game before the tournament on Friday when they play Finland at Wembley, after which manager Gareth Southgate will confirm the 26 players who will be in his final squad.

Scotland’s preparations continued with a 2-0 win over Gibraltar in Faro, and Albion midfielder Billy Gilmour played for 73 minutes as second-half goals from Ryan Christie and Che Adams ended a run of seven games without a win.

The Scots head to Germany next weekend and play the hosts in the tournament opener after playing Finland in a friendly at Hampden Park on Friday.

Gilmour’s midfield partner Pascal Gross produced a player of the match performance as Germany drew 0-0 with Ukraine in Nuremberg.

Gross, starting for the sixth time for his country, did his best to make something happen for Germany, leading the way for final-third entries (20), touches (152) and completed passes (131). His cross in the first half should have led to a goal for Ilkay Gundogan, but he was off target. Albion striker Deniz Undav was denied late on after coming off the bench.

On Tuesday seven Albion players will be involved in qualifiers for the 2025 Women’s Euros.

Ten members of the WFT squad will end as busy season on international duty for their countries.

Our three Norwegians – Guro Bergsvand, Maria Thorisdottir and Elisabeth Terland – are in Ferrera for their game against Italy in Group A1. The teams drew 0-0 in Oslo on Friday when Bergsvand played 90 minutes and Terland and Thorisdottir came on in the second half.

In England’s group A3, Julia Zigiotti helped Sweden beat Ireland 3-0 in Dublin to move into second place in the table while Emma Kullberg was an unused substitute. The teams meet again in Solna tonight.

Vea Sarri’s Greece missed the chance to put pressure on main rivals Montenegro in Group C3 when the visitors equalised in stoppage time in a 2-2 draw after Sarri’s corner led to Greece’s opening goal. Greece are in Torshavn tonight to play Faroe Islands.

Dejana Stefanovic made a winning return to the Serbia team, playing in central defence in a 2-1 win over Slovakia in Belgrade although Scotland knocked them off top spot in  Group B2 on goal difference after beating Israel 4-1. The Serbs are Trnava today for the return fixture against Slovakia.

Geummin Lee came on in the second half but South Korea were well beaten 4-0 by the United States in Colorado in Emma Hayes’ first game in charge of America. The teams will meet again on Wednesday in Minnesota.

Jorelyn Carabali was an unused substitute in Colombia’s 3-0 win over Venezuela in a friendly in Barquisimeto.
